Welcome to Moonsnail Studios!

I'm Alex, an artist, an artist inspired by the places I’ve lived and traveled. From Maine to Florida, the Jersey Shore to the Rocky Mountains, and the Tetons to New York, all of these places have inspired me and shaped my perspective. I’ve been an artist my whole life, but in 2020 I began to focus on my art more seriously through figure drawing, pen and ink, and watercolor, and now with acrylic and oils. Now, my focus is on painting landscapes that reflect the world as I see it— full of light, color, and those glimmering moments of beauty that make us feel present in our lives. 

I do commissions often and love painting scenes that hold special meaning for people (get in touch if you have an idea for something custom!). But I started Moonsnail Studios as a way to make my work more accessible to more of you, and hopefully bring my work into your life through prints, cards, and other creative pieces.
